𝗕𝗼/ "𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘦 [𝘵𝘰 𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘰𝘩]"

𝗘𝘅𝗼𝗱𝘂𝘀 𝟭𝟬:𝟭–𝟭𝟯:𝟭𝟲

𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘠𝘦𝘴𝘩𝘶𝘢 𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥, “𝘉𝘦𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘮𝘣 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥!” - 𝘑𝘰𝘩𝘯 1:36

This week's portion finds us going through the last 3 plagues of Egypt. Moses and Aaron, as GODs anointed, lead the way for locusts to come and devour all the crops and greenery, followed by a 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 which is so powerful it can actually be felt, and ending with the firstborns of Egypt being 𝘴𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘱 by 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵. It is in this last plague, the first Passover, where I want to focus our attention today.

𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘔𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘴, “𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘶𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘰𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘌𝘨𝘺𝘱𝘵; 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰, 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺. 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙨𝙠 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙗𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙣𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙗𝙤𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙜𝙤𝙡𝙙.” - 𝘌𝘹𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘴 11:1-2

I want to just highlight something a commentator pointed out that really struck me in this verse. The people were to 𝙖𝙨𝙠 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙗𝙤𝙧 for articles of silver and gold. The commentator said that in this way, after years of bondage the Israelites needed to begin to see their 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 in a sense. It struck me personally, because after years of domestic violence, I still struggle in that area. I constantly strive to 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣 'my place' so to speak, but here it was important for Israel to learn to ask what really should have been their wages, to begin with. Wow.

𝘔𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥, “𝘛𝘩𝘶𝘴 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, ‘𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘪𝘥𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘥𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘨𝘺𝘱𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘨𝘺𝘱𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘪𝘦, 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘰𝘩 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘦, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴; 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭. 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘨𝘺𝘱𝘵, 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯. 𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙄𝙨𝙧𝙖𝙚𝙡 𝙖 𝙙𝙤𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙖𝙧𝙠, 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙤𝙧 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩, 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 𝙖 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙀𝙜𝙮𝙥𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙨𝙧𝙖𝙚𝙡.’ - Exodus 11:4-7

The LORD then begins to instruct Moses and Aaron in how Israel is to prepare for this final plague. They are to gather a lamb or goat for each home, but not just any lamb or goat as Ex 12:5 says, "𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙗 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙪𝙣𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙚 𝙖 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙡𝙙; 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙤𝙧 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙖𝙩𝙨." They are to kill it at twilight and "𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙬𝙤 𝙙𝙤𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙩. " (vs 7) But the LORD actually goes into detail within the next few verses laying out how they should prepare the meat to eat, and finishing He says in verses 11-13, "𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿: 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱; 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲—𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱’𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗴𝘆𝗽𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗴𝘆𝗽𝘁, 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁; 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗴𝘆𝗽𝘁 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀—𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲; 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗴𝘆𝗽𝘁."

𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱; 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. (Ex 12:14) I include this because it is important to understand that 'easter' is not a celebration of what the LORD did. He commanded us to celebrate 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 as a 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, and it doesn't always fall on the same 'Gregorian calendar day' each year. Some will say, 'that was for Israel'. I would reply, 'who do you think those in covenant with GOD are called?' Let's continue.

Back to the significance of the 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 lamb. I cannot emphasize this enough. The lamb was 𝗡𝗢𝗧 a 𝙨𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚. The significance of the 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘴 was that 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 passed over those inside (Passover), as shown in verse 13 above. This Passover was a 𝘵𝘺𝘱𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘸 of what Yeshua came to do! Let me explain.

Let me first say, you simply cannot understand the new (renewed) covenant, without understanding the old. Everything in the new further explains what was already given in the old. Hence, Yeshua actually teaching what it looked like to follow Torah, the right way, condemning the placing of man-made traditions above the Word of GOD. Mark 7:8 says, " 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗻." But how does this teach us the significance of Passover?

Yeshua was the 'second-Adam'. When Adam transgressed GODs command (sinned), death entered. It's such an amazing contrast when we understand verses which declare GODs commands to 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲. Hence, the opposite of obeying them, leads to death. John 12:50 says, "𝗜 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲." In 2 Timothy 1:10, Paul explains the message of the gospel is this very thing, "𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙎𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨, 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙢𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙡". Isn't it amazing?!?!? As I studied these things, the LORD really enlarged my heart for understanding. I had always looked at 𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 as something 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 but in reality it is something more 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦. Of course, repentance is ongoing, as we transgress GODs commands which brings death, we repent and begin to obey thus bringing life! Yet in the last days, we see a final victory, a final 𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 as shown to us in 1 Cor 15:54, "𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯, “𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘱 𝘪𝘯 𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺." 𝗕𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, we believe that just as GOD raised Yeshua from the grave, we too, will exchange the perishable with the imperishable!" But how? 𝗕𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗗! Just as in our great Exodus story, those who by faith place their trust in Yeshua, and place the blood upon the doorposts of our hearts, we expect death to passover! It cannot see those who are hidden in HIM! Hallelu-YAH!!

But, we must understand that sin is the path to death. It places us in full view of its gazing eyes, seeking that which it may devour. There is a verse in Acts, 2:38, which I want to share with you. Most translations replace the word 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 with forgiveness. But they aren't really the same thing.

𝘗𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮, “𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 [𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻] 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘴; 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘭𝘺 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵." It comes from the Greek word, 𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴, which means a 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙜𝙚. In the Old Testament usage, the meaning actually is even more powerful as we see it represented with the 𝗷𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗲. Shew! Lev 25:10 says, "𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢 𝙖 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴. 𝘐𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘫𝘶𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺." Goodness gracious! Isn't that what we groan for, friends? That great and faithful day when Heaven will 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢 𝙖 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 once and for all from sin and death!!!! Hallelu-YAH!!

As I wrap up this weeks Portion, I can't help but share where the LORD led me this morning. Psalm 27:5. You see, it paints a picture of what 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 in the 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨.

𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘏𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘤𝘭𝘦; 𝘐𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘏𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘮𝘦; 𝘏𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘶𝘱 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘬.

Yeshua is the rock - to some a stumbling block, but to those who believe the Rock of our 𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. Because of His Blood, we will be hidden from deaths final blow, just like the Israelites were hidden in our story this week. He is our tabernacle - our hiding place. We simply declare, "𝗢 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗢 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆?"

𝗛𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲,
𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀,
